Student Outcomes Reported
Outcomes that teachers can currently obtain for student participation in Take Charge! (TC):
- Class Progress (what each student has completed in TC) (see Appendix A)
The progression chart allows the teacher to see
- individual users’ completion of each section (Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Health), and sub-sections in each (Pre-post knowledge quiz data, 411 information section, Do You Know? Quiz, and Media Mania completion)
- number of personal goals set and # met in Log It
- number of apprenticeship entries made (and whether requirement has been met to earn final prize)
- number of Speak Out Loud entries made (and whether requirement has been met to earn final prize)
- completion of the post attitude/behavior survey (the pre survey is required before being admitted to the program for the first time)
- Individual Student Reports (see Appendix B)
- Individual progression chart with same information listed above
- Do You Know? Quiz scores for each section: date taken, items correct, items attempted, pass/fail (note: if students do not correctly answer 8 out of 10 questions, they must take it again until they do – up to three times; questions are pulled from a bank of approx. 20 questions and presented randomly) This does not give the actual questions/answered, only the number
- Log It Goal Report – date posted, goal type, goal set, actual reported, goal met, and a place to send feedback to the student’s message center (printer friendly version available)
- Media Mania entries for each topic
- Apprenticeship entries for each topic
- Media Mania Class Responses (see Appendix C)
- Each student’s responses to Media Mania (by topic) listed individually so teacher can approve or reject for publication on TC
- The Apprenticeship Responses (see Appendix D)
- Each student’s responses to The Apprenticeship (by topic) listed individually so teacher can approve or reject for publication on TC
